The LDF led Kerala government has imposed 'Fat tax' on junk food iteam. In his budget speech, Finance Minister Thomas Isaac said tax of 14.5% would be imposed on establishments selling food like pizzas, burgers, tacos, doughnuts, sandwiches, pasta, burger patty and bread-filling.
